Video to make its simultaneous broadcast debut on CMT, airing hourly, along with eight showings on CMT Music during video hours
O.N.E The Duo kicks off “Feels Good” release week with a Visionary Media Group and CMT partnered performance at CRS in Nashville on Tuesday
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 16, 2023) — You know what “Feels Good”? When an artist sees their hard work and vision come to life across a billboard in Times Square — a feeling Music City’s own O.N.E The Duo (the first Black mother-daughter duo in Country music) will experience firsthand on Friday, March 17, as the video for their new single “Feels Good” makes its broadcast premiere on CMT, CMT Music and Paramount Times Square Billboards.
Composed of longtime Wu-Tang Clan featured-female vocalist Tekitha and her daughter with Wu-Tang’s RZA, Prana Supreme, the “glamorous and exciting” (NYLON Magazine) duo is taking Nashville by storm with their signature harmonies. “Feels Good,” co-written with Shane Stevens (“Fancy Like”) and Nash Overstreet (Hot Chelle Rae), and produced by Overstreet, is a genre-bending pop-country banger about tapping into that feeling of whatever it is that makes you feel good.
“When we first wrote ‘Feels Good’ with Shane and Nash, we knew there was something really special about it,” says Tekitha. “We kept singing it in our heads, and then Nash took it over the top as producer. Fast forward to this Friday when we get to see it premiere on CMT and on the Paramount Times Square billboard. To think that my daughter Prana and I were inducted into the Class of 2023 for CMT’s Next Women of Country and now we’re getting to see our faces on their billboard in Times Square — this is a dream come true and then some.”
The track includes musical influences of O.N.E The Duo’s time spent in Southern California and the Bay Area, where the video, directed by Ana Peralta Chong and produced by Henry Atticus, was filmed. Friday’s milestone marks the first Times Square billboard for the duo — lauded by EBONY Magazine for “shaking up the realm of country and Americana music genres with their own unique flair in a way that’s hella Black and oh so necessary” — who were named to CMT’s coveted Next Women of Country Class of 2023 in January.
“Feels Good” marks the first single from O.N.E The Duo’s highly anticipated forthcoming debut album, expected later this year.
Ahead of Friday’s big debut, the duo was part of the Visionary Media Group and CMT partnered performance at CRS in Nashville on Tuesday. O.N.E The Duo’s TikTok channel has experienced explosive growth over the last week as they’ve begun to tease the single release.

About O.N.E The Duo:
O.N.E The Duo is a mother/daughter duo — Tekitha (mom) and Prana Supreme (daughter) — and their story is rooted in Hip-Hop royalty. Tekitha is the female lead on the Wu-Tang Clan albums and Prana is the daughter of RZA, the founder and de facto leader of Wu-Tang Clan. Together they are pioneers, becoming the first artists to journey from Hip-Hop to Country.
After moving to Music City, the pair created their own stripped-down hybrid Country/Americana style with a diverse range of musical influences including Chris Stapleton, Fleetwood Mac, The Judds, and Motown. As O.N.E The Duo evolves their sound and unveils a series of upcoming projects (“O.N.E” stands for Observant, Noetic, and Effervescent — there's intentionally no period after the "E" because effervescence goes on and on) has created a sound that draws from a diverse range of musical influences including Chris Stapleton, Fleetwood Mac, The Judds, and Motown — and yet is all their own.
